Notes: No habitat photos of this rather large Porcini… I tried to photograph it at the scene, but instead I got my camera wet.
Here you can see how large this mushroom was! Found in one of those landscape islands around buildings. Uncertain of the species of Pinus it was growing with.
nlsegraves, thank you for the update! You wouldn’t happen to have a copy of that paper that you might be willing to send me? Do you know the story with Boletus edulis var. edulis- which population does the name apply to?
