Observation: Agaricaceae sp. Chevall. (14283)
About Agaricaceae Chevall.
When: 2008-11-16
Collection location: SE Portland, Oregon, USA [Click for map]
Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This is probably a violet-gray Cortinarius, but I don’t see even a remnant of cortina on it. The colors get faded quickly in bright sunlight, but trust me: the cap color is mostly blue-violet with some gray areas mixed in. Odor not unpleasant.

Summary: Entoloma sounds possible.

I’ve never heard of E. bloximii before, so checked those observations already on M.O. They do look similar. Does E. bloximii have pinkish gills?

Summary: might be Entoloma bloxamii

The family Agaricaceae is characterized by free lamellae, and white, whitish, chocolate brown, dark blue, yellow, green or black spores. Cortinarius is not in that family (it has rusty brown spores).
The colour of your fruitbody and the pinkish tinges in the lamellae point to Entoloma bloxamii.
