Notes: I found the reference to this fungi on Taylor Lockwoods site. It is the closest resemblace I could find.

Recognized by sight: Cantharellus/Craterellus aurora are synonyms to Cantharellus lutescens, and it doesn’t have gills. At least the first picture here looks more like what is called Cantharellus cibarius var. australiensis. Used references: http://www.sydneyfungalstudies.org.au/...

Recognized by sight: I found C.concinnus at the Three Sisters in Katoomba and it pretty much looks like these (I think C.cibarius var.australiensis is synonymous)

Created: 2009-04-19 09:17:47 WET (+0000) By: Clive Shirley (myxo) Summary: Cantharellus sp. As a nother posibitlity how about one of the waxgill’s like Hygrophorus involutus although the colour is not right for this species+. Unfortunately I don’t have Tony Young’s more resent work on this group.
