Summary: Scarlet cups

These are scarlet cups. They come up in early spring. Seeing them lets me know the other spring mushrooms are not far behind. If you have an alternate Latin name feel free to post it. I have no intention of checking the spores. Though I have photographed them ejecting spores. You can find those photos on the web, but you might have to search for Sarcoscypha coccinea to find them ;)
