Notes: This is a common species found around this time every year in many of the bush reserves that I visit. As yet I have never been able to locate a name for it i hopping some one will be able to suggest a genus?

Summary: Cymatoderma

Cymatoderma sp. seams like a good a genus as any. There are no records of the genus in New Zealand but landcare website does say its present sort of contradicting its self a bit!! I dont think its Cymatoderma elegans though but do recall that it has white spores.

which is a common Australian species. Ian Dodd has some great pictures of Cymatoderma elegans on this site. I don’t have any ideas on this one…
