Observation: Mycena sp. (Pers.) Roussel (23027)
About Mycena (Pers.) Roussel
Public Description (default) [Edit]
When: 2009-07-08
Collection location: Forest near Elgin St., Pembroke, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]
Who: Paul Derbyshire (Twizzler)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: LBM near wood in Zone 07. Close look shows the same distinctive sort of crossveining of gills as in http://www.mushroomobserver.org/23021 and http://www.mushroomobserver.org/22879 but the gills are not as white.

For some reason, the area of Zones 04, 05, 07, and 24 seems to be rich in these little fragile types of mushrooms lately, while the Mile and nearby areas (Zones 09-13 and some other places) are popping russulas and amanitas.
