Observation: Amanita daucipes (Mont.) Lloyd (23572)
About Amanita daucipes (Mont.) Lloyd
Public Description (default) [Edit]
When: 2009-07-25
Collection location: Strouds Run State Park, Athens, Ohio, USA [Click for map]
Who: Dan Molter (shroomydan)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This lone Lepidella was growing on a steep hillside about 20 feet below a ridge overlooking Dow Lake. The mushroom is about 8 inches tall and has the characteristic lepidella stink. It was raining all day, hard at times, and the cap warts have mostly washed away. The color seems significant.
