Observation: Marasmius sp. Fr. (23627)
About Marasmius Fr.
When: 2009-07-28
Collection location: Askam-in-Furness, Cumbria, England [Click for map]
Who: Josh Milburn (J Milburn)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Not certain which species this is exactly. I’m fairly certain it is either M. epiphyllus or M. rotula, but it doesn’t seem to be exactly either of them. They’re absolutely tiny (see comparison to my index finger- my finger is right alongside it), and were growing in a small clump under nettles in marshy woodland. I found this clump a few meters away from where I found another clump- I’m uploading them separately on the off-chance they are different species.

Summary: Tetrapyrgos nigripes has not been found in Europe

as far as I know…this mushroom looks like Marasmius rotula or Marasmius limosus but without microscopy or a picture from the underside of the cap it is impossible to tell.
