Recognized by sight: Cap, stipe, gills prove Agaricaceae. Caps are pale pinkish to nearly flesh-colored, appear to have free gills; stipes (based on quarter) between 6 and 10cm long (or 2.5-4 inches), twisted in one case, but mostly linear, striate.

Used references: Aurora’s Mushrooms Demystified; can’t get it to key out because of pale pink coloration of cap, and growth on hemlock log. Keys out to M. subcana, but too light-colored and non-staining for that species.
