I hadn’t realized how glorious the texture of the stalk and pore surface was until I got home and looked closely at these pictures on the computer. I’ve seen these mushrooms two years in the same spot- hope to find them again next year and spend more time with them. They make me feel like the closer I look the more they expand in a similar fashion- I suppose like a fractal…
