About Tylopilus indecisus (Peck) Murrill
Public Description (default) [Edit]
When: 2009-09-21
Collection location: Big Thicket, Tyler Co., Texas, USA [Click for map]
Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Tylopiluis indecisus looks pretty good for these specimens. The flesh was firm and the pores bruised brownish. There was some faint reticulation on the stem of the more mature one. The spore print was faint but the color appeared to be brown to pinkish brown. The spores were subfusiform and the average size was about 13.8 X 4.3 microns.(see photo). Not bitter in taste.
