Notes: I observed this growing on the ground growing between the exposed roots of a mature Maple tree. West facing exposure. Very firm flesh with a shiny almost lacquered sheen. Very bright orange with a white outer margine. The stipe is reddish organge in color.

This is another good medicinal mushroom known as Ling Chih Known China as the mushroom of immortality, Teas, wines and a candy made with the essence of Ling Chih is available in Asian markets., One way that i prepare it is to soak it in rice whine for two months, then drink a glass every day.
