About Entoloma abortivum (Berk. and M.A. Curtis) Donk
Public Description (default) [Edit]
When: 2009-07-10
Collection location: York Haven, Pennsylvania, USA [Click for map]
Who: kate (kate)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: This is a visid brain like fungi growing in dense undergrowth on and about the ground of a decaying tree. There were numerous other mushrooms growing within the same space as this fungi. I returned to the same area several weeks later to find the fungi still present, however in diminished numbers with changes to its color which is more of a tallow hue.
