Summary: Wow!

The closeup shows that the drops are just barely hanging on. Must be pretty small time/weather windows necessary to catch that view.

Summary: I had never seen such spectacular examples either…

the red dots are liquid, as well as staining. once they dry, pits are left. not nearly as eyecatching, but still a great dye mushroom.

Summary: Gotta be one of the coolest fungi around.

I’ve seen others collect this, but have never found it myself. Reminds of red polka-dot globs on white ice cream. Never picked one, either. Are those globs sticky like resin?
