Summary: Debbie

What part of NC did you visit?

Have you ever been to Maggie valley?

I agree with you about persicina, such a beautiful mushroom, what type of trees did you find yours under?

I have read it can be found under oak but have never seen this before, only under conifers.

Summary: I was wrong.

After leaving the red one in a paper bag overnight to let it grow some more it definitely is Amanita muscaria var. persicina, all the red is gone now, just beautiful peach colors left.

Guess it was wishful thinking, I really want to find amerimuscaria down here, persicina is so abundant at the moment one could literally go pick 30 pounds in a few hours, and that is no joke.
