Summary:
grandedulis is the newly published name for our common local form.
one way to tell them apart from the European and Eastern US edulis is that the pore surface turns a ruddy brown with age. see Arora and Simonini’s porcini paper in the October issue of Economic Botany for more taxonomic details.

Summary:
Boletus edulis var. grandedulis
I used this nomenclature as it appears to be the community consensus. Last year, after posting multiple specimens from this location as Boletus edulis, the community changed it to var. grandedulis.
