Observation: Tricholoma magnivelare (Peck) Redhead (27185)
About Tricholoma magnivelare (Peck) Redhead
Public Description (default) [Edit]
When: 2009-10-18
Seen at: World Forestry Center, Portland, Oregon, USA [Click for map]
Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)
Herbarium specimen available

Notes: OMS Herbarium voucher tag in back of name tag. I saw Dr. Norvell take one of the specimens. I’m afraid I ate 2 of the other specimens, reducing the total number available for others. I’m insulin-dependent diabetic, and find T. magnivelare helps control my blood sugars. For the past 5 days my daily blood sugar has been noticeably lower, probably due to the cinnamoneum found in both cinnamon and T. magnivelare. One of the few medicines I love to eat.
