Observation: Agaricales sp. Underw. (27608)
About Agaricales Underw.
Public Description (default) [Edit]
When: 2009-10-31
Seen at: SE Portland, Oregon, USA [Click for map]
Who: Daniel B. Wheeler (Tuberale)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Found in my next-door neighbor’s front lawn, probably damaged from lawn aerating done yesterday during rainstorm. Cap was found on sidewalk, thick stipe base still in lawn about a foot away. This appears to be one of those secotoid fungi trying to decide whether to stay above ground or go gopher.
