Recognized by sight: cap color, thin volval patch, dissolving annulus, waxy stipe.

Recognized by sight: Probably one of the undescribed local Amidella.
Non-striate margin of young specimen rules out A. calyptratoides, and further evidence is provided by the very robust stipe and thick volva, the former is adorned with cracked/scaly zones. The fruiting in April is another good clue.

Summary: Natural

The lime green interior was the color when I sliced it open. NO INFECTION or parasite. Also no color change, not an oxidation. The center was filled with a gel.

Summary: Lime green interior?

Did this specimen appear to be infected or is that an inherent color or staining reaction?
