Summary: Noah

Macroscopically it is the cap color when young (yellowish in vermiculosoides) which is the one I find. Roody & Bessette give differing KOH reactions.
That being said they are very very close. They were featured recently in Mushroom the Journal. By the way, Bill Roody has eaten B. vermiculosoides with no problems.

Summary: Walt,

Ho do you tell the difference between vermiculosus and vermiculosoides? is it cap color in younger ones?
