I think I’m getting a bit better at photographing the spores of Amanita species although it’s quite difficult as you have mentioned, I’m not sure if these are good enough to get accurate measurements because I think they’re all in face view not side view, would this be correct?
Why is it that whenever I mount spores from Amanita species they all seem to orient themselves in face view?
About the dried specimens, unfortunately the specimens from all of the most recent observations I have made have become too damaged by insects to save, I still have the specimens from last season but the post office wouldn’t let me send them if I wrote dried botanical specimens on the package, maybe I could bend the truth slightly and write documents or something similar?
