Summary: Polypores?

Are you sure? Were their undersides smooth or a bit rough, or were they honeycombed?

Honeycombed = polypore, anything else = Stereum. The photo resolution isn’t high enough to be sure but it’s probably Stereum given its appearance, and then the dark jelly nearby is probably Tremella.

Summary: Stereum

Yes, there were bright orange polypores covering the log, with some clumps of the red, rubbery fungi interspersed between them.

Summary: Resembles

Tremella foliacea. As I understand it, Tremella often are parasitic on Stereum and it looks like there’s some Stereum on this wood, perhaps S. complicatum.
