Observation: Nolanea hirtipes (Schumach.) P. Kumm. (32708)
About Nolanea hirtipes (Schumach.) P. Kumm.
When: 2010-01-24
Collection location: Bon Tempe Reservoir, Marin Co., California, USA [Click for map]
Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Drawing on my ample supply of masochistic reserves, I’m calling these Nolanea hirtipes.
They are “leggy” and have an odor somewhere between farinaceous and slightly unpleasant.
The spores were basically 6 sided and measured approx. 10-11.7 X 7.0-8.5 microns.
They were growing on the ground in mixed woods of Madrone, live oak and some fir.
