Notes: These were growing in a urban park under a planted tree(Live oak i believe) with wood chips also present.
The spores were white, amyloid and warted. They were approx. 6.4-8.1 X 5.0-5.4 microns.
The gills were whitish, notched, close to crowed and rather rough edged.
The caps were fairly rough and wrinkled and reminded me of Boletus zelleri in appearance and texture.
As can be seen by the photos, cap, stipe and gills seemed to attract a lot of dirt particles but they were not obviously viscid.
I wanted to at least put a genus name on them but nothing seemed to quite fit???
Forgot to note odor or taste but I don’t believe they had a strong odor.
