Notes: Under coast live oak near an Amanita velosa (which also has a white form), and why eating amanitas, for most, is not recommended.

BTW, you can see this beauty at the Pt. Reyes Fungus Fair on Sunday.

The Genus Amanita produces some of the most beautiful fruit bodies in the Fungi Kingdom, I wish I could make it to your fungus fair, at least I can see the collections here!
