Ha, ha… the Cort guys ain’t clear either… You’re doing fine on that count. There is a narrow concept of Sericeocybe and a broader one, while the French concept is the broadest. I’ll talk more about it on MT at some point. Your stuff seems to rest well within Sericeocybe according to the broadest concept (The French).

P.S. Had these had a waxier cap appearance and distinct bluish cast on the context, with that sub/rooting stipe they might even be viewed closer to the Bicolores group around C. evernius, but they are not there.

I looked through my archive, but I couldn’t find anything like these… There are things that look close in that group around Turgidus/Malachius, but your wider and amygdaliform spores do not match anything that I remember seeing. I’ll bet a sum of money that these are undescribed and are not even going to be described soon because this is a difficult group within Telamonia and lower on the priority list (for now). We need to collect the way we are doing for awhile before we can get a good handle on what is what. Nice spore shot. Just next time remember to note the odor and also slice it – the context color is important to see, particularly if off white or it shows bluish tints. Much more so than the dimensional descriptions. A beautiful collection, I am jealous now..
