Summary: hard to scope a jelly fungus

I’m not sure what is shown in the orange and yellow photo, but those little things were the only feature I saw under the scope. I could not manage to get a shot of them at higher magnification. I added a better spore shot. Guess it’s time to order a rule for my scope.

Summary: The spore picture

Unfortunately, it doesn’t tell us much without a ruler.
If you can find any basidia, at least Auricularia and Exidia should be easy to tell apart (looks like a larva in Auricularia, and in Exidia like an octopus with 4 arms).

Fertile surface at 40×. Spores could be seen randomly popping off. They don’t go very high, only a mm or two before falling back to the surface of the mushroom.
