Now that I have my books with me and I’m not just going off a search for ‘Cordyceps Elaphomyces’, I agree with Darvin, that what I meant was Cordyceps capitata (or C. longisegmentis).

The Cordyceps is either C. capitata or C. longisegmentis. They look the same with C. longisegmentis having double the length of the spores. The truffle shows a marbled peridium and is Elaphomyces muricatus.
