Summary: Just lucky on these..

They happened to come out fairly clean. I didn’t do anything special except be very careful in extracting them from the ground. Usually they are a little more buried and difficult to extract without breaking them up.

Summary: How much cleaning

did you have to do on these specimens? Or were they really as clean as they seem to be? Usually quite buried in my area in Oregon, often with soil and bits of sand firmly attached to peridium.
