Notes: Habitat: Central NJ USA under oaks.
Pores: White to cream colored, slightly olive colored when sliced and viewed from the side
Stem: 5-10cm long, 3-6cm thick, club-shaped, solid white until the damn worms ate the middle of the stem out.
Cap: 5-12cm wide, smooth, dry, light tan, beefy, cracking with age,
Spore print color: IP
Bruising: tan
Other information: I collected B. edulis from this location last year, but we never ID’d the variation.
