These don’t look much like Lactarius, but are they really? If they are really a Lactarius, would it be possible to get more of the usual Lactarius info, like latex color, staining reactions, cap/stipe viscid, and so on? And maybe photos of the spores?
Although not that there is much chance I’m going to find these ever, it would be good to document things for other mid-west people perhaps…
