Summary: Well…

The photos here are only 0.7 megapixel, is the Nikon Coolpic a sub-megapixel camera? You can put full-res here, the site scales the photos for you. Even if there is a reason for not full res, 0.7 meg. is kinda small… It is hard to see things like gill attachment and veils at this low res.

But I’m just a pixel whore really, I’ll always want more…

Summary: ah Doug, I have spoiled you with all of those pixels…

no, I did NOT take my SLR into the woods with me. I made that mistake in the SE last year, in a dripping damp woods, and it cost me big-time. I used my little Nikon Coolpix for all of the in situ shots, but had the SLR back at the lodge just in case. It rained a bit just about every day. No time to set up a tripod, either…too many damn wonderful things to capture!

I never put up a full res photo here, regardless…if you want bigger, i can send it to you privately. And how bout that green gilled critter, eh?

Summary: Small Images?

Why so small? What happened to your camera, that it is taking such small images now? This one is less than a magepixel in size, why so small?
