Summary: Thanks

for reminding me, I need to do some work on that site – need to sort out a lot of new names, remove some lousy photos etc. Well, it’s winter soon, in a couple of months we won’t find any more mushrooms in the woods.

Summary: thanks irene..

sorry, forgot to add that i was in spruce and red pine. i saw a purpurescens in switzerland, but that had bruisin on the gills. only had ammonia with me. next time ill be sure to drop KOH. Saw some of your photos on the KUO website today, recognized the name and will check out your website.

Summary: KOH reactions?

on cap surface, bulb margin and flesh? Habitat?
I reminds of Cortinarius spectabilis (grows with pine). I doubt varius with this bulbose stem.
