Summary: Noah

okay, so you are going with M. sumstenii…you must admit that the underside near the top of the petal is ALSO something that doesnt look right for the black stainer. So we are somewhere inbetween. Are you judging this somewhat by time of year?
Thats why I dont vote against what she notices.

Summary:

She may be way over in Sweden but she knows our mushrooms better then most of us…
It’s just something(s) about this that doesn’t look right for Grifola

Summary:

I was willing to venture that this was Meripilus, but not enough to go against Irene. I know shes all the way over in Sweeden, and Chaz is in LA…

Summary: I have my doubts

that this is Grifola… Go back and collect some and bruise the pores, see if they turn black over time…

Summary: LOL I put the wrong name in there

It looks like Grifola frondosa but Im not sure when they come out in your area. But it really doesent look thin enough to be Trametes versicolor.
