About Psilocybe makarorae P.R. Johnst. & P.K. Buchanan.
When: 2007-04-29
Collection location: Auckland, New Zealand [Click for map]
Who: Alan Rockefeller (Alan Rockefeller)
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Photos by Inski.

This undescribed species produces little or no spores and may be an albino mutation. The big one in the last image is about 80mm tall. All attempts at spore printing these have failed so far and viewing gill fragments under a scope reveals little or no basidia and the few spores visible were not developed.
