Summary: A mixture of species

Im unsure, these were fruiting near each other some were 2 feet away at the most so it could be a mixed collection. I just said cokeri because of the color and shape of the warts, im no Amanita expert.

Summary: A mixture of species?

I don’t think that all these photographs represent the same species.

I’d suggest Amanita sp. 5 for 15713.

15715 (with apparent double annulus) is probably either A. cokeri or A. species 5.

When the bulb is missing, it’s really very difficult to “do” a Lepidella.

15714 is neither of the above.

For lepidellas, close-ups of cap warts are very valuable diagnostic shots.

Note to the administrator: According to the list of names of authors of fungi, the standard form of Gilbert’s name has a hyphen between the initials…i.e., “E.-J.”

Very best,

Rod
