Who: Christine Braaten (wintersbefore)

Specimen available

The top of cap was clear colored and very gelatinous and viscid (sort of the consistency of Leotia lubrica) while the underside was lamellate. The fruitbodies grew from a fallen hardwood branch in a crepidotoid fashion.

Cap diameter approximately 1.0-2.0 cm. Was not able to obtain any view of spores with this first section. Very interesting apically encrusted setiform cystidia!

I’ve never seen anything like this, wish I had more material.

Cystidia are a nice match for H. mastrucata.
