HABITAT scrub and scattered forest on steep northern slopes on east end of mountain; SUBSTRATE Abies wood; ASPECT sunny; NOTES K+y-r, no soralia on main branches, black base, distinctly inflated, soralia tiny and flush to stipitate and coallescing on terminal portions, very few soralia with isidia, medulla and axis pure white, low to tall papillae scattered on main branches except near base, fibrils long and scattered throughout.
