Observation 1005: Hebeloma (Fr.) P. Kumm.
When: 2006-11-18
No herbarium specimen

Notes: Ok, I found a bunch of these. And it is a good sized attractive mushroom. But I can’t quite figure it out. There is a clear veil in the field. Flesh is thin.

I got a spore print, and I am pretty sure it is white. But the mushrooms were a little muddy from the almost swampy place they were found, and the gill edges stained the paper brown. But I am pretty sure between these the spore print was white…

So, I’m a little confused, and wonder if anyone else has seen these before, and has an idea on what they are.
