Notes: HABITAT open hardwood forest on low knob; SUBSTRATE Quercus bark; ASPECT partly sunny; NOTES yellowish, cortex UV+ weak and C+y/o, medulla K+y-r bright producing norstictic acid crystals, ostiole inset and dark but epihymenium apparently K- in some or K+v in darkest; SPORES > 5 per ascus, smooth walls, ~100 × 40 µm
