Notes: HABITAT open hardwood forest on low knob; SUBSTRATE Acer bark; ASPECT partly sunny; NOTES thin yellowish-green continuous smooth crust, scattered low rounded warts with one apothecium each or merging with several others, ostiole deep and black; CORTEX K-, C+o in places, UV+y weak; MEDULLA K+y-r bright with nortstictic crystals present; ASCOCARP epihymenium colorless to opaque, K-; SPORES 2 per ascus, huge, thin smooth outer wall, thick inner wall with weak radiating texture.
