HABITAT deep cove forest; SUBSTRATE trunk of Fagus grandifolia; ASPECT partly sunny; NOTES greenish granular crust, K-, C-, KC+ violet-rose, UV+ white,; APOTHECIA white, immarginate, subglobose, KC+v fleeting, epihymenium brownish POL+ clearing in K, hymenium and hypothecium hyaline, well-branched paraphyses separating relatively easily, tips not appreciably swollen, asci tiny with thick tip, bacidia-type; SPORES 8 per ascus, hyaline, curved, ~20-25×2µm.
