Notes: HABITAT massive outcrop with steep southern exposure on grassy bald; SUBSTRATE moss at top of large outcrop; ASPECT sunny; NOTES K+y weak, abundant terminal lumpy gray to blackish cephalodia, one apothecium, foliage in part coralloid but in part globular.

Foliage stouter and shorter than typical S. tennesseense, but R.C. Harris identifies this as S. tennessense anyway.
