Observation 100768: Laccaria Berk. & Broome

Notes: I’m pretty certain this name applies. However, I have run across a couple other possibilities. These caps are small, averaging about 1 cm in diameter. In damp moss.

Photos represent three different collections, all made in the same area.

Globose spiny spores…

in the 8-10 mu range, counting the spines. L. ohiensis is a possibility. Kuo mentions a few others, which are separated microscopically.
