Calvatia fragilis

From the pseudostipe and the purple spores, I would put this fungi in with Calvatia fragilis.
I would look up, in Australia, to see if this fungi occurs there. It is wide spread here in California.
If you cut the fungi in half, to show the rooted pseudostipe, you will be able to see what shape it is. C. cyathiformis has more of a broad base, whereas C. fragilis (formerly C. cyathiformis f. fragilis) has a turbinate, tapered, pinched at the base rooted pseudostipe.
The purple spores and breaking away peridium is a giveaway for this fungi.
