Broken hypogeus clumps of an obviously larger nugget, found beneath young Douglas fir in one of the last lowland old growth forests left in WA state. These crumbled specimens were very pungent(garlic, gouda,wine scent) and were found in a “squirrel dig hole.” Reddish/brown spots on most chunks.
Temp: low 60’s.
