HABITAT spruce forest on northeast slope under summit cliffs; SUBSTRATE on roof of overhanging mossy rock; ASPECT shaded; NOTES scrobiculate, mostly marginal coarse soralia but also round laminal soralia, pale below with white-tipped pale simple rhizines; MEDULLA K-, C+ fleeting red only around margin in the typical pattern of anziaic acid (definitely not lecanoric), KC+ rose fading immediately to yellow
