Recognized by sight: If associated with Englemann spruce, Whitebark pine, White pine, or Lodgepole pine at elevations above 3200 feet, probably C. imperialis. Those are the species I have found associated with C. imperialis near Little Crater Lake, Clackamas County, OR.
