HABITAT oldgrowth chaparral and conglomerate outcrops at top of high transverse ridge; SUBSTRATE old weathered wood of Adenostoma fasciculatum; ASPECT shaded; NOTES greenish strongly verruculose thallus, K+y C+o KC+o UV- 350-375nm, large yellowish-pinkish lightly pruinose convex disks, thin disintegrating thalline rims, epihymenium opaque POL+ clearing in K?, hymenium and hypothecium hyaline POL-, amphithecium full of algae POL+ no crystals clearing in K?; SPORES 8 per ascus, ellipsoid, hyaline, smooth, simple, ~10 × 7 µm.
