Notes: HABITAT oldgrowth chaparral and conglomerate outcrops at top of high transverse ridge; SUBSTRATE Quercus agrifolia bark on dead limb; ASPECT shaded; NOTES immersed thallus, abundant apothecia with thin whitish rims, disk yellowish-grayish without pruina, amphithecial cortex very thin laterally to 60 µm basally, algae no continuous, epihymenium brown and POL+ granular with color clearing in K but a some granules still POL+ after K, amphithecium weakly POL+ clearing in K; SPORES 8 per ascus, hyaline, smooth, simple, ellipsoid, 11-12 × 5.5-6 µm.
